Kairosoft is known for developing simulation games for different scenarios that captures the likes of hot springs, malls, game development company among others. In this version the game focuses on managing an RPG village for players to recruit adventurers to fight mobs and explore dungeons. Recruit more adventurers by improving and upgrading town facilities and doing events that increase the town’s popularity and adventurers’ stats that will make battles easier and contribute in the growth if the village.

The game uses a retro pixel style of visuals making the characters and monsters look like a blast from the past. Gameplay is quite awkward, if you are new to the game, due to its touch control scheme an added physical control can be utilize for players who prefer a real controller.

Gameplay is kind of repetitive after some time as grinding for better items for your adventurers and items for facilities upgrade and item creation can be collected. Sending the best adventurers might affect your monthly goal for your village as exploring dungeons might be hard early in the game. Unlocking jobs after maxing its level makes the specific job available for other adventurers.

Dungeon Village brings two types of fan favorite type games into one. Simulation with RPG elements in a simple yet addicting simulation game will take most of your time, achieving the highest number of stars and beating top scores will keep you into it for a while.

Verdict: 4/5
