Saturday Morning RPG a game developed and published by Might Rabbit Studios, is an 80’s inspired role-playing game that can be enjoyed by anyone into JRPG. The game currently has four episodes to play in any order with Saturday-morning cartoon feel, great soundtrack and active battle controls.

The game revolves around the character named Marty, exploring a world with battle encounters with enemies. Side quest are present in every episode ranging from collecting autographs to flushing pets down the toilet to be free. Collect all items and defeat the HOOD!

The battle sequence is where the real fun takes place. Starting for a set of stickers you scratch for a limited time to activate different effects. Timing is essential to do different attacks based on items you bring to battles and to defend/block enemy’s attacks. Some attacks are kind of difficult to execute making first timers to redo the battle after Marty dies.

OVERVIEW:
Quality: 3/5
Gameplay: 4/5
Soundtrack: 5/5
Replayability: 4/5

Verdict 4/5

Saturday Morning RPG is a decent game for its price. The story sometimes feels empty, but the soundtrack and (somewhat difficult) battle mechanics will make up for it in addition to the 80’s feels that will gamers smile.
